TMD-5 Lubricator – LUB TMD5 27MN 2L BLK 24VDC: The duration of each cycle is determined by an inbuilt gear reduction motor that operates non-stop once activated. The device includes a low lubricant level switch to alert users of low lubricant conditions.
Startup Instructions:
Add a clean, approved lubricant to the reservoir until the level is about 25mm (1 inch) from the top. Secure a 5/16-24 inch tube fitting to the discharge port, tightening it to a torque of 3.4 Nm (30 in-lb).
If the lubricant distribution system hasn’t been primed before, you’ll need to manually prime it to remove air from the system before using the machinery. You can do this by operating the TMD-5 lubricator by hand. Pump the manual feed knob up and down several times until you see lubricant appearing at all the bearings. Adjust the amount of lubricant being delivered as necessary.
Lubricant Discharge Adjustment:
You can adjust the lubricant output from 1 to 5 cubic centimeters per piston stroke. To adjust, lift the collar with the indicator window and rotate the manual feed knob and collar. Turn clockwise to reduce the flow and counter-clockwise to increase it. After adjusting, move the collar back to its starting position to secure the setting.
The approximate setting for lubricant discharge in cubic centimeters is marked by lines near the window’s center on the collar. For precise measurements, it’s best to use a graduated cylinder. The hourly lubricant delivery is calculated by multiplying the number of piston cycles per hour by the volume discharged each cycle.
