CASSIDA FLUID DC 32 –Synthetic direct contact fluid for food processing applications in the food manufacturing industry
Performance Features
- Registered for direct food contact.
- Low volatility resulting in reduced carryover into edible oil products when used as absorber oil.
- A high viscosity index results in a minimum viscosity variation with a temperature change. This facilitates pump selection.
- Wide temperature range for application.
- High temperature and oxidation stability.
- Neutral odour and taste.
Applications
- Absorber oil for edible oil extraction plant solvent recovery systems.
- The release agent is used on grills, loaf pans, cutters, boning benches, chopping blocks, and other hard surfaces to help prevent food from adhering during processing.
General Instructions
It is essential to ensure a high flow rate when using a heat transfer fluid to prevent even brief overheating of the fluid. The Reynolds Number ought to be more than 10,000. This is especially crucial when the heating system is turning on and off. The heating components’ surface or film temperatures shouldn’t be more than +320 °C. The table below lists the physical characteristics of the oil, such as density, specific heat, and coefficient of thermal conductivity, that are required to calculate the heat transfer coefficient in the system.
Seal and paint Compatibility
This lubricant is designed to work well with elastomers, gaskets, seals, and paints, which are typically used in food machinery lubricating systems.
Handling and storage
Food-grade lubricants must be kept out of direct sunlight and other heat sources and separated from other lubricants, chemicals, and food items. They must be stored in the range of 0 to +40 °C. If the product has been stored under these conditions, we advise using it within five years of the date of production. The product must be used within two years of opening its packaging (or within five years of the date of manufacturing, whichever is sooner).
