CASSIDA FLUID DC 32

Category:

CASSIDA FLUID DC 32 is a versatile fluid designed to meet the unique needs of the food production industry. It can be used as an absorber oil in edible oil solvent recovery systems and for can-forming and closed-circuit/pressureless heat transfer systems. This fluid was specifically developed to meet the high standards required in the food sector.

CASSIDA FLUID DC 32 Synthetic direct contact fluid for food processing applications in the food manufacturing industry

Its foundation is a meticulous blending of artificial fluids selected for their capacity to satisfy the food sector’s exacting standards. NSF has registered and certified it for use in direct-contact applications (Class 3H) and those with the possibility of unintentional food contamination (Classes H1 and HT1). The product is certified for ISO 21469 and manufactured in compliance with FLT Quality Standards in establishments that have adopted HACCP audit and Good Manufacturing Practice, as well as the quality and hygiene management systems ISO 9001 and ISO 21469.

Performance Features

  • Registered for direct food contact.
  • Low volatility resulting in reduced carryover into edible oil products when used as absorber oil.
  • A high viscosity index results in a minimum viscosity variation with a temperature change. This facilitates pump selection.
  • Wide temperature range for application.
  • High temperature and oxidation stability.
  • Neutral odour and taste.

Applications

  • Absorber oil for edible oil extraction plant solvent recovery systems.
  • The release agent is used on grills, loaf pans, cutters, boning benches, chopping blocks, and other hard surfaces to help prevent food from adhering during processing.

General Instructions

It is essential to ensure a high flow rate when using a heat transfer fluid to prevent even brief overheating of the fluid. The Reynolds Number ought to be more than 10,000. This is especially crucial when the heating system is turning on and off. The heating components’ surface or film temperatures shouldn’t be more than +320 °C. The table below lists the physical characteristics of the oil, such as density, specific heat, and coefficient of thermal conductivity, that are required to calculate the heat transfer coefficient in the system.

Seal and paint Compatibility

This lubricant is designed to work well with elastomers, gaskets, seals, and paints, which are typically used in food machinery lubricating systems.

Handling and storage

Food-grade lubricants must be kept out of direct sunlight and other heat sources and separated from other lubricants, chemicals, and food items. They must be stored in the range of 0 to +40 °C. If the product has been stored under these conditions, we advise using it within five years of the date of production. The product must be used within two years of opening its packaging (or within five years of the date of manufacturing, whichever is sooner).
